Training Module

Course Description

This module consists of a main module, which gives general information about advanced trainings and specific needs-oriented sub-modules.

The main module is mainly targeted at decision-makers in health care, quality managers and tutors of prehospital medical care staff (e.g. teacher/trainer, practical instructors, lecturers). However, other health care professionals, such as emergency physicians and paramedics, can learn important information about advanced trainings in general and their impact on patient safety.

Within this module, two sub-modules are included to exemplify different kinds of e-learning modules according to learning goals and requirements. The two sub-modules show one theoretical module and one module where you can convey practical knowledge (i.e. inserting various kinds of accesses).
In order to decide, which kind of module (theoretical or practical) is more fitting, you need to filter contents and also target groups and then adapt your advanced training accordingly.

Objectives

  • Improved and adapted advanced trainings in EMS, i.e. by detecting individual weak points as a result of the (applied) feedback module.
  • Improved quality of prehospital patient care via further learning and improved quality management.

Format

The module has three main steps:

Step 1: Assessment of needs and presentation about different formats of advanced trainings

Step 2: Sort topics and their importance for patient safety and current needs (e.g. for pandemics)

Step 3: Framing and finalizing topics for advanced training modules. Using feedback tools to optimize the advanced training consistently.
